Wine and Grape Data
The OWHA is attempting to gather historical wine and grape-growing data from across the state. As data is added to our collections, we’ll make it available here.
Allen Holstein has worked at Argyle Vineyards, Knudsen Vineyards, Domaine Drouhin, Stoller Vineyards and many other famed Willamette Valley vineyards in his career. In addition, he owns Holstein Vineyards in the Dundee Hills. The data he has collected throughout his career, including crop estimates, harvest data and aerial photographs, is available in the Holstein Vineyards Collection.
The annual census of vineyard and winery growth and development in Oregon is available from 1981-present, with a few years missing, on the Oregon Vineyard and Winery Report page.
The Steamboat Conference has been held since 1980. It has been a place for frank conversations, formal and informal tastings, bonding, and sharing learning about Pinot Noir among winemakers. In the Steamboat Conference Collection, the data sheets about the wines discussed provide a wealth of information.
A variety of maps, reports and other documents from the 1980s-present are available through the Oregon Wine Board Collection. The Oregon Wine Board is an organization that manages marketing, research, and education with the intention of educating the public and industry members.
Meeting minutes and updates from LIVE are available through the LIVE Collection. LIVE provides education, support, and certification for sustainable wineries and vineyards in the Pacific Northwest.
