Amy Peetz of @sporetrapper is not involved in the wine industry in the traditonal sense. She created and produced a spore trap that reduces the disruption of powdery mildew in vineyards. Teddi Fuller of @lushingtonwines explores both of her passions through her brand, wine and painting. Carrie Alexander of @holocenewines, @cimentowine, and @grenachefest has been all over the place both geographically and with her projects. Whether it be a skate shop, coffee shop, or becoming a hairdresser, Carrie has persued many different avenues. Our friends at @petitmondewine are turning 15 years old! To celebrate they’re bringing 25 European producers to Portland in July for an amazing wine fair. Go check it out if you can! Go to the Petit Monde website for details and to purchase tickets. 🥂 Anne Root and her daughter Ashley Campanella took on the creation of @edenvalewinery at the turn of the century. Taking possession of the Voorhies Mansion in Medford, the two went to work rebuilding the house, creating a winery, and launching a tasting room. Ashley started working on the hospitality side and then became the winemaker - by necessity, at first - in 2008. Eric Weisinger has been part of the Rogue Valley wine scene for almost his whole life. When his father started @weisingerfamilywinery, he helped plant the vineyard as a child, then came on board as the winemaker after college. After spending some time traveling and making wine abroad, he came back in 2012 as general manager and winemaker and started modernizing the family business.
