Pepper Bridge Winery Collection

Pepper Bridge Winery is located in Walla Walla, Washington in the Walla Walla Valley AVA. Norm and Virginia McKibben founded Pepper Bridge Winery in 1998. Much of the wine is produced using grapes from Seven Hills Vineyard in Oregon and Pepper Bridge Vineyard in Washington. Pepper Bridge focuses primarily on producing estate vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

This interview is an oral history conducted by Linfield College archivist Rachael Cristine Woody and Whitman College archivist Melissa Salrin with Norm McKibben of Pepper Bridge Winery. The interview took place on July 16, 2014 and included topics such as McKibben’s transition from the construction industry to wine, his involvement in the expansion of the Walla Walla AVA, and the uniqueness of the Walla Walla Valley as a grape-growing region.
