INTERVIEW SUMMARY

This interview is with Carl Dauenhauer of Hauer of the Dauen Winery. Carl Dauenhauer and his wife, Lores, are co-owners of Hauer of the Dauen Winery in Dayton, Oregon, founded in 1999. The Dauenhauers grow grapes to sell to wineries in the region, in addition to growing grapes for their own estate label wines.

This interview was conducted on December 16, 2002 at Hauer of the Dauen Winery in Dayton by local author and historian, Barbara Doyle. This interview was collected by the Yamhill County History Museum and generously shared with the Oregon Wine History Archive.
