A huge thank you Tracy Covington at the Umpqua Valley Winegrowers Association for her wonderful story about us and our recent visit to the Umpqua Valley. No one has played a bigger role in growing, shaping, and promoting the Oregon wine industry than David Adelsheim. Since the early 1970s, he has been involved in nearly every notable event, decision, committee, or lobbying effort that has shaped the industry into what it is today. Today our team was able to meet Jay Pscheidt, OSU Botanist & Plant Pathologist, who has worked at the university for the past 38 years in collaboration with the agricultural industry - including grape growers. A cool find from our field trip to Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center yesterday! When worlds collide: a Willamette Valley sparkling wine from the 1994 opening of Kern Critical Care Unit. Anyone recognize this bottle or know about where it came from? Today we had the opportunity to sit down with Morgan White of Amaterra and hear about her journey to the Oregon wine industry. From grill cook to brewer to winemaker, Davis Palmer has seen just about every side of production at McMenamin’s since 1995.
