This interview is with Nancy Daniel, the founder of Canary Hill Vineyards located in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA. Nancy discusses planting the vineyard, early organizations and industry relationships.

In an industry full of movement, Arron Bell has had an unusual career. After tasting an “a-ha!” bottle of Domaine Drouhin Oregon 1996 Pinot Noir in 2000, he got excited enough to come back to Oregon and try to get into the wine industry.

Kipp and Danell Myers have known each other for much of their lives, but reconnected as adults and found wine to be a bond as they traveled and built their relationship.

Jordan Michelman is the cofounder of Sprudge, a website devoted to all things coffee. After timing the site’s creation right and having it boom, Jordan broadened his attention to other things, including wine.

César Medina Maldonado’s story is one of continual reinvention. His relationship with wine is longlasting and continually changing; it’s been a comfort for him in trying times, something to focus on when things are confusing, and a light on the horizon when the future has been murky. And now it’s a livelihood, a family project, and a dream.

Peter Gibson @edelzwicker900 loved wine from a young age and discovered that he had a strong memory for wine and flavor. Growing up around the Virginia wine scene, he tried all the wines he could and was continually intrigued by what he learned.
