This collection includes an oral history interview with Al MacDonald, as well as photographs taken during the interview.
Al MacDonald is the founder of Seven Springs Vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills. MacDonald has been a key proponent for wine education and sustainability, beginning the Vineyard Management/Winemaking (now Wine Studies) program at Chemeketa Community College, and he has also been heavily involved in the creation of the LIVE (Low Input Viticulture & Enology) program.
This interview is an oral history conducted by Linfield College’s Rich Schmidt with Al MacDonald. The interview took place at the Jereld R. Nicholson Library at Linfield College on June 25, 2015, and covered topics including his creation of a curriculum for Chemeketa Community College’s Vineyard Management/Winemaking (now Wine Studies) program, as well as his role in LIVE (Low-Input Viticulture & Enology).
